Change Your Questions, Change Your Church Workshop

This posting is sent out with much appreciation to participants in our “Change Your Questions, Change Your Church” workshop at the New England Super Saturday workshop, led by me (Todd Weir) and Sarah Buteux.  The workshop was designed for people to explore together how negative questions can lead to poor decision making, frustration and fear.  Powerful, open-ended and exploratory questions can create space for people to think and be more creative about their future.

I have included below our presentation slides, which includes questions Jesus asked, the difference between “judger” and “Learner” questions, and and the responses given by people in the workshop.  We introduced the practice of “Q-Storming” which is much like brainstorming, with a focus on coming up with the questions that need to be asked before rushing towards the answer.  Again, thanks to all who participated!  If you would like to host a workshop you can contact us at pastortodd@firstchurches.org or pastorsarah@firstchurches.org.
