What is Non-Directive Coaching?

Non-directive coaching is quite different from traditional notions of coaching which, like consulting and mentoring, cast the coach as the expert who brings the answers. Non-directive coaching teaches you how to listen powerfully and not give advice. What if your church members had a pastor skilled at non-directive coaching who through deep listening and powerful questioning helped them to discover they have the “answer” already within them and realize they do not need fixing or directing?

Should I Attend this Workshop? Do your parishioners always look to you for direction, unable or unwilling to make ministry decision themselves? Unable to focus for themselves?

Do you want them to feel more empowered, to release their own creativity and talent, to be better at releasing the possibilities they have within them?

The Workshop We invite you to participate in a coach skills training event designed to sharpen your skills for doing just that. Todd and Jim have integrated coaching skills into their daily work and experienced greater effectiveness in both management and pastoral care of their congregations. You will learn to empower others to solve their own problems.
